Main Schedule Packages,  March 29th - April 1st

The main schedule package is a fixed schedule of classes (Friday-Monday) based on the level/track you sign up for. You simply choose the group that you want to join for the set 4-day package when registering. If any group is sold out you can ask to be added to the waiting list. The evening events included in the main schedule package are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

NOTE: Some levels have two separate tracks named by color. The level of these two tracks is exactly the same.

NOTE: The Repertoire Track is for levels 5 & 6

      Each package includes the following

      • Beginner track: 11 classes  + morning warm-ups + 4 evening events
      • Repertoire track: 15 classes + morning warm-ups + 4 evening events + performance
      • All other tracks: 14 classes + morning warm-ups + 4 evening events

Repertoire track is for advanced and professional dancers, and this year the track features DORRANCE DANCE! Dorrance Dance is an award-winning tap dance company based in New York City, founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Michelle Dorrance.

This track includes 10 classes taught by Dorrance Dance members Elizabeth Burke and Luke Hickey, and Michelle will also pop in at times to support the group. Students will learn selected DD material which they then also have the opportunity to show at the Monday night performance.

      Individual Master Classes

Master Classes are separate and offered outside of the Main Schedule. You can register for master classes as an addition to your main schedule package, and it is also possible to sign up for master classes only.

Below are descriptions to some of the classes, but don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about any other master class.

      • "Improvisation" - As a fundamental part of tap dance this is a reoccuring class theme, and we start off already the first day with Thomas who will let you in on some of his secrets on how to tell a story with your feet.
      • "Slides" - Almost like a dance within in the dance; slip, slop & slide! In this class Thomas demonstrates some of the special technique required to get that seemingly effortless floating through space.
      • "Tap Turns" - Karida teaches some of the basic turns and how to use your body to keep balance.
      • "Performance skills" - Cartier has been on stage since he was a little kid and knows how spellbound any audience!
      • "Musicality Workshop with a musician" - Ali will teach accompanied by one of Sweden's top jazz guitarists, Fredrik Olsson. We really recommend this class where you get to learn how to work and interact with other musicians!
      • "Teacher's Choice" - The teacher will decide on the spot, and might also be open to requests.
      • "Digging into Monk" - Lisa brings you into the musical world of the eminent jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk. Two thumbs up!
      • "Buck and Wing" - Josh is truly an expert in this early style of tap dance from the mid to late 19th century. Most often danced to up tempo ragtime so bring an extra shirt and don't forget to stretch!
      • "Dorrance Dance material" - Don't miss this class with the company dance captain and rehearsal director herself, Elizabeth Burke!
      • "3/4 time" - Anthony shares some ideas and thoughts on how to approach the jazz waltz.
      • "Theater Tap" - Karida was member of The Radio City Rockettes and toured with the musical Black & Blue, and in this class she will take you for a spin! And a skip, jump and a turn! And splits...?
      • "Baby, BeBop and The Blues" - Ali has been working on a project about the legendary tap dancer Baby Laurence and invites you to get some insight of that process. And perhaps also a step or two from Mr Jackson :)
      • "Mable Lee soft shoe" - In this class you get to learn an original routine by tap and jazz dance luminary Mable Lee. A soft shoe is a relaxed and graceful dance, often performed without tap shoes.
      • "Choreo. to Ella F. tune" - Learn original choreography by Sam Weber! Music: Ella Fitzgerald
      • "Fundamentals" - Cartier will show you how to form the neccessary base you need to develop your tap dancing skills!
      • "Eddie Brown" - Sam shares some material from the late great tap master Eddie Brown, whom he worked and shared the stage with.
