Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Claudia started her professional dance career at the Deutsche Oper Berlin at the age of nine before discovering and falling in love with tap dance at fifteen under the tutelage of Sven Göttlicher, Marie-Christin Zeisset and Andreas Dänel. After many opportunities to perform in various tap dance shows all over Europe as well as in the touring productions Magic Of The Dance and Dancing Feet, Claudia moved to NYC in 2003 to continue and pursue her career in tap dance in the US. Since then, she has worked and danced with numerous tap dancers, choreographers and musicians, has been featured on the cover of Dance Teacher Magazine and was included in Dance Magazine’s annual "25 To Watch” list. She has taught weekly classes at Steps On Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, American Tap Dance Foundation and is on faculty at the 92nd Street Y, NY Harkness Dance Center.
A tap dancer, body musician, singer, choreographer and teacher, Claudia currently tours with the award-winning tap dance company Dorrance Dance, which she has been a member of since its inception in 2011 under the artistic direction of MacArthur Fellow Michelle Dorrance, dances and sings with Max Pollak’s Rumbatap, collaborates with pianist Michael Jellick as a piano & tap dance duo and is the choreographer and featured tap dancer for drummer Allison Miller’s Rivers In Our Veins.
Claudia hopes to continue to be able to share her love and passion for the art of tap dance and music through her performing and teaching globally and is excited and honored to be a part of the 2026 Stockholm International Tap Festival.
